Come and make your own Hawaiian inspired floral pillow (24″ x 24″).

This one and a half day class is an introduction to wool applique and embroidery and will cover basic embroidery techniques and some advanced stitches. You will learn many different stitches in this project, including: Lazy Daisy Stitch, Chain Stitch, Pistil Stitch, Bullion Knot Stitch, Trellis Stitch, Colonial Knot Stitch, Pekinese Stitch, Double Cast on Stitch, Crested Chain Stitch, Reverse Chain Stitch, Portuguese Knotted Stem Stitch, Stem Stitch, and Whip Stitch.

Kits include all hand dyed wool, embellishment threads as well as pattern, color photos and detailed written instructions.

If you need to take Hanne’s class on these dates but would like to make the other project (Lailani) instead, just let us know.

Cost: $105.00  Kit fee: Students will order kit in advance directly from instructor at www.mamalohde.com. Kit fee (payable to Mama Lohde) is $86.00. Kit will be shipped to your home so that you can do some prep work before coming to Quilting on the Beach.

Home work ahead of class:
● You will need to go to www.mamalohde.com and purchase
your FLORA kit ahead of class. It will be shipped to you
ahead of the arrival of the retreat.
● You will need to Whip Stitch all the components onto the
background wool before class. I use Wondefill Ellana EN
(or a super fine cotton thread can also be used).
● Not included in kit, threads for Whip Stitching, EN
